Work
I work across photography, writing, and sound, exploring places through walking, listening, and close attention. Each medium offers a different way of noticing – of slowing down enough to see, hear, and feel the world as it really is.
Photography
Photography is my primary creative practice and the one I’ve been pursuing the longest. It’s an exploration of place through the impromptu capture of moments as they unfold – whether that’s the daily rhythms of town life or the vastness of open landscapes. My work has been purchased, published, and exhibited internationally.
Writing
I primarily write haiku and haibun (prose + haiku), gathering moments and impressions as I walk and later shaping them into the final pieces. I follow traditional Japanese approaches that root the work in nature, seasons, and deliberate structure. My writing has been published in several international journals.
Sound
Field recordings are my newest creative pursuit and now form an essential part of how I experience a place. I began with the sounds of sled dogs in Greenland, and my work has since been featured on several collaborative albums.
